October 22, 2019 Author Updates

October 22, 2019
Update from Elizabeth, Anne, and Lynn.

Hi there,

3Q Royalty statements are being updated with 2Q partial payments so that report totals will reflect the complete amount due. As soon as all the payments are recorded, we’ll be uploading reports to Box.com. Summary reports will be uploaded first. By the end of the week, all three formats will be available.

  1. Summary – total sales reported by vendor
  2. By Edition – total sales reported by format of title (ebook, audio, paperback)
  3. Order Detail – details of sales based on month, vendor, and title

You can set your Box folder to email you when files are uploaded.

  1. Open Box.com
  2. Click on the three dots to the right of your royalty folder
  3. Select Settings

4. Select “Override default settings” and check “Uploads”.

SBA Loan

Elizabeth met with the SBA representative on Friday. As soon as we have a closing and distribution date, we will share.

3Q Payments

The next set of payments will be sent next week. 3Q payments won’t be sent until 2Q payments are complete.

We are here and willing to discuss the current situation as well as future plans with authors. Our email addresses are below. Until this situation has been completely resolved, we will issue an update every Tuesday.

We have started an archive of updates for authors having trouble receiving the emails. We will also share questions from authors and readers we feel would be helpful. You can even put your address in to receive emails when it updates.

Written communication can never take the place of face to face, but Elizabeth happily uses Skype and will schedule a chat with anyone who wishes to talk with her. Her ID on Skype is dsp_elizabeth. Connect with her by email to schedule a chat.

Don’t want to be face to face? Use the ASK QUESTION option on the update website. Remember if you ask a question anonymously, we can’t respond directly.
